Selecting the right art for your space

When it comes to size – bigger is always better. Small art can get lost on a big wall. If in doubt, size up or consider grouping with other art.

Below four images demonstrate the difference between sizes in a space from A0-A3.

Consider how much of a focus point you want the art to be, and how many other objects you have competing for its attention. Its proximity to these can either complement or clash with it.

  • Multiple prints?

Follow the rule of odds. Hang in groups of 3+ if space allows. Odds are percieved as more balanced by the human eye.

  • Wall placement

The centre of your art should be at eye height. Measure 153cm from the ground to the middle of your art.

  • Frame choice

A frame will add to the overall width and height of your art. Consider whether or not you want a matboard, in our opinion, these always look better.
